Worked great and produced a good deal of smoke. Some tips I would recommend for wood chips while using - use boiling water to soak the chips for at least 15 minutes before adding to your BBQ. If you soak in cold water they will cause the temperature to drop in your BBQ. These chips produce a lovely earthy BBQ flavour to your meat. I used for chicken but would work with beef too. Highly recommended

I got the wood chunks of hickory. I put the wood just touching on piece of burning charcoal and it created plenty of smoke four about 20 or 30 mins. The flavour is good and strong.
